Trends come and go quickly in modern fashion but there are a select few trends that stay around long enough to become fashion staples. In the past half century the best example would be the denim jean. The newest trend which is proving that it has staying power is the velour tracksuit.
The velour tracksuit seems to be staying put in stores unlike other trends. It has enjoyed seasons of popularity in the past however this time they have been around for a couple of years already. This is an age in the fashion world.
Celebrities started wearing velour tracksuits first. Britney Spears used pink velour tracksuits for her bridesmaids in her wedding to K-Fed. Then the WAGs began sporting velour tracksuits during international football games.
On the high street they have become popular with everyone. People like them so much because they are comfortable and stylish. But you should only wear a good quality velour tracksuit. It should not change or lose its shape when you wash it. Likewise you do not want to see the colour fading. You will look cheap rather than fashionable if the quality is poor.
If you do not want to look like mutton dressed as lamb, adults should stick to darker colours. Avoid any pinks, greens and light blues. Black, brown and navy are ideal as they are flattering.
Children however look gorgeous in brightly coloured velour tracksuits. It is hard to find comfortable, practical and stylish clothes for young girls. When you can get all three in one outfit you have found a winner. Clothes which can be pulled on and off easily are great after things like swimming.
Loo at different retailers for the right velour tracksuit for you. You will find some are better quality than others are. If they specialise in velour clothing you are on to a winner. Make sure that you do not get overcharged for the tracksuit, £60 should be the maximum. Likewise, do not spend too little otherwise the clothing will fall apart after just a few washes.
